Apple Releases iOS 4.2 / 4.2.1

Earlier today, Apple pushed out a couple of software updates.

The first, and the one that’s been anticipated for a while, even going back to before iOS 4.1, is iOS 4.2. Technically it’s 4.2.1.

Changes
* AirPrint – print photos, email, web pages directly to compatible printers over a wireless network
* AirPlay – stream videos, music, and photos to AppleTV or AirPlay-compatible speakers and receivers, such as AirPort Express, over a wireless network
* FaceTime improvements
* Safari – find text on the web page
* Notes – new fonts (yay!)
* Can now set custom tones per contact for SMS/MMS text messages
* improved parental controls
* Import .ics files into Calendar

Supports: iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2nd generation (or later)
