Ancestry.com’s Tree-to-Go genealogy software has been released, and it just so happens to coincide with the launch of Apple’s iPad. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the iPad or being a “Universal” app – this upgrade improves the performance and adds a new major feature to the iPhone/iPod Touch app.
That major feature is that it can create an Ancestry.com family tree from within the app – before you were limited to working with trees that were created on or present on Ancestry.com.
It’s still a free app, and it’s free to create a new family tree, however you will need an Ancestry.com account.
